Discover Babbacombe

If you’ve got a good head for heights, Babbacombe Cliff Railway – operating since 1926 – is a great way to get down the cliff to Oddicombe Beach below. Further along the coast you’ll find Babbacombe Beach, where you can often spot dolphins and seals playing offshore.

Surrounded by some of the most breathtaking scenery to be found in the UK, the Cliff Railway provides a vital and non-exhausting way for locals and holiday makers alike to soak up the peaceful atmosphere and take in the amazing views as they travel to and from the waters edge.

This is also one of the South West’s leading diver training centres where you can take your PADI open water certificate (we can put you in touch with a local operator to hire equipment and organise courses)

Babbacombe is everything that a great British seaside resort should be – with fabulous views, lots to do and tons of family-friendly accommodation.
